Story about the Nebraska lotto.

Lottery spokesman Brian Rockey says one of two lottery computers that randomly generate combinations picked the numbers 1, 9 and 6 - in that order - for Monday night's drawing. He says the other computer picked the same three numbers Tuesday in the same sequence.

The odds of such an occurrence? One in a million.

NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The odds of choosing any 3 numbers your name in order is 1 in 1000. One computer doesn't care what another computer picked the day before. Now if you want to say that a player won 2 days in a row, then the odds of that would then be one in a million because the first chance is 1 in 1000, but as far as the computers are concerned the odds of the first pick is 1 in 1. There will always be a random 3 digit number from 000-999. It is only up to the 2nd computer to match that 3 digit number in the same manner that it is up to you as the player to also pick that number.

Anyone need any more explanation?
