I was having this conversation at work with coworkers (we got along today) and we were discussing when someone is not considered a kid anymore. Technically, I'm still a kid right? Cuz i'm 18 still. But if i'm really mature, am i still a kid? or an adult? I know some 22-23 year olds who act a lot younger than me, but they are considered adults because of their age. And considering i am most likely going to be married next year, at the age of 20, am i still a kid? just a married kid because i wont be 21? Or am i an adult because i'm married. Then my coworker said that i would still be a kid until i have kids. that no one really grows up until they have to raise someone else. But there are a lot of kids out there having kids and they still dont grow up, they arent considered adults because they have a child at the age of 16. So is it someone's age that makes them an adult, or their maturity.....?
I was also thinking about having kids and why everyone seems to be having 2 kids. Why two?? Why only two? Two is such a boring number! I want 5 kids... i think that'd be awesome. Having a big family would be so much more fun then having a little one. But everytime I tell people i want 4 or 5, they look at me like i'm crazy. Or they say, "once you have your first one, you wont want anymore." And i think that sucks! Why would let ONE of your kids, no less the first one, ruin your dreams of having more. And I always wonder why the parents feel they have to cater to their children.. I mean, take care of them, but dont spoil them and make them think they dont have to lift a finger... Thats why parents arent having many kids, they dont know how to discipline them or teach them respect.
Its a mystery...
