Still South Beachin it. Have lost 11 pounds in the two weeks we've been at this. That is with weighing myself slap in the middle of my aunt flo cycle too, so it could actually be more. I'll take the 11 though.
Entering phase 2 now so we 'can' add in whole grains and fruit. Fruit is definitely coming back into our home but the carbs will still be limited. We are feeling so good without the carbs that we don't want to mess with that too much.
Been making such fantastic meals. Feta stuffed turkey burgers, pistacio crusted chicken, balsamic salmon(TO DIE FOR) dill shrimp. I'm cooking healthy meals EVERY night. It's satisfying mentally and physically. I always did cook most nights but it was really easy to fall on the pizza delivery guy and chinese restaurant a couple nights a week. Not good. Now, I am in charge of what goes into our bodies and it is super healthy AND delicious.
Jason and I were able to have a date night on Friday. First time eating at a restaurant while on the plan. We skipped the bread altogether and had wine in its place. I had grilled tuna and asparagus and he had stuffed shrimp with asparagus. We were south beach friendly, very satisfied, and happy with ourselves!! It was great.
This long weekend is heaven. I was way ahead on my chores, so now much relaxing is in my future!!! Probably watch a little football, cook some good food, and hang with my family. Nothing better in my world.
