Apache Qpid gets a Java CLI!

Jul 16, 2008 21:19

Apache Qpid is, if you didn't know, a message broker that implements the AMQP specification. Strictly speaking, it's two, a C++ broker and a Java Broker and a some clients in a variety of languages (C++, Java, Python, C#, Ruby..).

As part of the Google Summer of Code Lahiru Gunathilake has been working on a command line management interface for the Java Broker. He's just released the first version, which you should check it out you ever wanted to be able to do things like list queues from a shell-like interface. There's some nifty new features planned, so I expect it to grow even more awesome quickly. :)
