Sad news my dell inspirion 8100 is officialy dead.
In transit from Indy ( when i had it groud freighted) it was damaged.
Screen was cracked, and computer does not boot properly.
Odds are the HD is still good so all is not lost ( granted nothing critical was on there anyway ) but its like a pet dieing,
Oh well it lasted well over 5 years. Cannot ask for too much more.
And i will be checking the damaged goods policy on the freight contract tommrow. so a new laptop may be in the works.
