(off-topic)
Hi all,
Our beautiful Devon Rex cat Matchiko is seeking a new home with a loving family.
We have moved to New Zealand, and she is currently living with our in-laws, but needs a permanent home with a family who will love her and care for her.
She is seven years old, desexed, with no health problems that we are aware of. A pure-bred 'black smoke' Devon Rex cat, but no papers. She is not overweight.
Devons are very human-oriented, love company, and have great personalities. Matchie is no exception - she loves cuddles, and is very home-centered (doesn't roam). Devons are low allergy and do not shed fur - many people (including me) find that they may be allergic to other cat breeds but have no problems with Devons.
The home she would suit is very cat-friendly, people who perhaps spend a lot of time on the computer or watching TV and love nothing better than a warm and fuzzy companion to sit in their lap and purr. Absolute ideal would be a mature couple or single wanting companionship.
What she wouldn't suit: A family with young active kids, dogs, very expensive furniture (she doesn't usually scratch but like all cats has been known to when stressed), and no access to outdoors (she likes to mooch around outdoors, although the furthest she tends to go is a few metres from her food!)
You can see a photo of Matchie here:
We have loved Matchie very much and hate to pass her on to a new family, but feel that this is a better option than forcing her to do the trip across the Tasman, followed by living in several homes as we move about with work.
If we cannot find a suitable, loving home for Matchie, we will move her to New Zealand with us, but if a family can be found, her vet has said this would be a better option for her - no animals travel well internationally, and can get very stressed, sick and die.
If Matchie sounds like she'd be the fuzzy feline friend for you, please
email Leanne for further information and interview / meeting with Matchie early in the New Year.
Regards,
Leanne
