When I move, I will be rated 4th in North Carolina. I'm sorry, but I shouldn't be 4th in anything.
I'm not too worried about my rating. I know that it is inflated, so if it goes down some then that is fine. Asheville just won't have the same community that I have here and less opportunities to learn from players who are genuinely better than I am. My lessons will still come and having the LJ community really helps to pick up big pointers.
Does anyone else have any tips on how to get by in a smaller Scrabble community?
On the up side, It will be cool to be in Kurt Davies' neck of the woods, and when I do go to tournaments, chances are pretty good, that I will have a free place to stay.
Speaking of:
Come one, come all to the
Charlotte Tourney (so called
Eastern Championship) in February!
If anyone is actually thinking about coming down for the tourney, I will have room for a certain number of guests at my parent's house (probably something like 4). So there's that.
Hopefully, I won't embarrass myself.
