Michigan Madness Games 1-3
I'm going to try to post all of my games in three game increments. Hopefully I am diligent enough to do a post a day. I really should be studying the 8s instead.
Game 1: vs. Eileen Jones
Play the Game
She challenged my opening bingo, so was too timid to challenge my phoneys later. I know that she was openly complaining about me after the game about my phoneys, etc., but frankly I don't really care. If I am dumb enough to try a phoney bingo, it's her job to take it off the board. Moving on.
I win 505-352
Game 2: vs. Gerry Smith
Play the Game
this one was the opposite of my first game for my opponent. In this one she challenged off a word early and then felt confident in two challenged bingoes that were both good. The result is similar. If she didn't gave up 5 turns during the game (3 to exchanges and 2 to challenges) the game would have been much closer.
I win 464-308
Game 3: vs. Janet Gray
Play the Game
this was a really good game. She plays a nice double blank bingo with the Q & Y early and gets down a second one late to be up a bingo. I take all of the best spots for points late to steal the game from her. At one point, I was down 117 points, but ended up beating her by 50.
I win 429-379 (I misscored two turns during the game. My score should have actually been 420)
3-0 +359 with one more game before lunch. Next up:
