I really did cry. At work even.

I just love this AU you've created and even though Martha isn't one of my favorite characters, what you did with her and Alex in the previous story and in this one made me love her. My heart broke for Alex and for Martha... and for Jack.

You can't help but love Alex (who I see in my head as a mix of 10 and Jack really... he seems more dashing than 10 - not that I don't think 10 IS DASHING!!! lol)

I just love this. I hope you continue to write stories in this world.

So sad, but really beautiful. Makes me want to go back and read the original story to see Alex and Martha in happier times. They had a wonderful life together, though, and she will always be his first love.

Oh, wow. You know I don't actually like Martha (although I did warm to her by the end)but when you write her she is like a totally different person except the same simply because you write her so well, like she is intended to be. It helps that she is not rivaling Rose and I think you created the perfect character for her with Alex. I just love love love. Need I say more?

Where do you get all the song/poem/story etc extracts from, surely you don't know them all of by heart? Or have all the books etc? Mind if I put this with the rest of the My Adventure verse on my persinol website? I will credit fully of course. I am very hot on getting permission, I wouldn't want to do something and then them not like it. ;p

In this case, sensiblecat gave me the song lyrics. Usually if I use song lyrics or quotations, it's something I found that resonated with me. In the case of the I Ching stories, all the quotations were from the Tao te Ching, and I left a link in the author's note where you can find the translation I used.

In general, author's notes are a good place to look--I tend to put credit there when it's due. *g*

And sure, go ahead and link any of my Adventure-verse stories. :)
