Absofreakinglutely gorgeous. I love it and I love your take on why the Doctor asked Joan along and his feelings towards her. And the new journal is inspired and lovely and I really wish I could see it.

Beautifully done. I particularly liked the "Dying yes, resting, no." Also the way you brought out the irony that it was a Family that robbed him of his chance to have exactly that - a family. I felt that was a factor behind the unusually cruel punishments he chose for them.

I do, too. And then Joan's "can you change back?" must've been like yet another knife in his hearts, echoing back to Rose. The amount of pain he was in at the end of that episode was heartbreaking.
