Wow... haven't been HERE in a while!
Hey folks! *dusts off a chair, sits down* Been a while. Wow. I could really stand to dust in here, huh?
So... catching up.
I told you about buying my new place. I still love it... small, but just exactly the right size for me. Just far enough away from the grocery store to make it a reasonable walk. Close to important things (like the library), but in a quiet-enough neighborhood to make a single person feel safe.
What I haven't been doing much of for the past year is writing. I don't really know why. It was as though my abilitty to create stories had dried up--the movie in my mind stopped running. It wasn't that I didn't try, off and on; it was that nothing sounded right. Nothing worked. Nothing flowed.
Until a week or so ago.
So now, ladies and gentlemen, I'm writing again. I'm back in my characters' minds, or they're back in mine, and they're talking to me again. I'm even working on Ulysses again! It's been almost fifteen months (eeep!) since I posted on it, but I haven't given up. Whew. So glad. :D
