Into the Woods was INCREDIBLE. OMG, really really good acting, and the staging was phenomenal. Some overacting, but it was played at least partly as a farce (the two Princes specifically--they were hilarious!), and really, it's community theatre, so I wouldn't expect professional-level performances. We got 'em, though. Holy crap. In that song with the Baker in the second act, I got a huge lump in my throat. Those of you who know the musical will recognize it:

No more questions please
No more tests
No more curses you can't undo
Left by fathers you never knew
No more quests

No more feelings
Time to shut the door
Just . . . no more.

That's probably grabbing from multiple verses there, but I've been up for almost 20 hours and I'm not hitting on all cylinders. But still. WOW. DAYUM.

Work was good! I had my final observation of the year today, and in my principal's words, I ROCKED. It was my first day just standing and teaching in ages, and it felt so good. :D So so so glad that WASL is done. So glad. I can't even tell you.

Tomorrow: HOUSEWORK. I can't stand this place any more. Sunday: church, and then the bookstore w/ souleswanderer.

Thirty-five more school days! That's actually eight school weeks, not seven, because we have three days of school the week of Memorial Day (Monday and Tuesday off), and then the last week of school is only Monday and Tuesday (the 15th and 16th). But still! Thirty-five more days! Woohoo!

AND!! I bought a copy of Charlaine Harris's From Dead to Worse. Her newest Sookie Stackhouse novel will be out in a week or so, and this is the last one before that, so I'll be all caught up when Dead and Gone comes out. Wheee!

And, the final bit of good news: I got a full DreamWidth account via the OpenID lottery, which means I can post to LJ and read comments at work, because work doesn't block DreamWidth. ;) LJ will still be my main home, but I'll use DW when I'm bored at school.

That's it. I'm exhausted and it's time for bed--it's midnight! Pumpkin time. Night.
