Good news, for "Drama Free Thursday"

I like wildcelticrose's idea of squeeing on "Drama Free Thursday," so I have some squees to share.

* Wonderful birthday! I've thoroughly enjoyed my week. And I still have pressies on the way. Yay!

* Work. Despite some stresses (which can be found in ANY job), I really do love where I work. And my students this year, too.

* ENGLAND! My cunning plans are coming together nicely. Not sure whether I'll end up working in the British system, the DoDDS system, or for one of the American international schools in London, but there's a good chance that I'll be living overseas in a year. Both terrifying and squee-worthy.

* WORKOUT! I've been going back to Curves and I can definitely tell a difference. Yesterday, which was only my 9th workout after coming back, the computer told me that 1. I'd burned five hundred calories (FIVE HUNDRED CALORIES!), 2. I'd actually *exceeded* my goal for the day, and 3. had been upgraded from 'beginner' status to 'intermediate' status based on my progress. Woot!

* I came home from that workout and, in a fit of optimism, tried on a pair of jeans that had been mislabled at the factory and which I'd never been able to wear comfortably (the other jeans I bought that were the same brand, same labeled size, and at the same time, fit me just fine) FIT! I bummed around the house in them! They don't fit well enough yet for me to wear them *out* anywhere, but THEY FIT!

* I went for a nice little walk today. It was sunny and in the mid-fifties today, the leaves are absolutely GORGEOUS, and Mount Rainier was out. How could I stay indoors? It wasn't a long walk, but it did give me a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine, and stretch my legs a bit. I need to start pushing myself to work out at least five times a week, which means not only my 3x a week at Curves, but an additional twice a week walking or on the exercise bike. Even if it's just a little bit. I don't want to injure myself, but I do want to be sure I get the most I can from this time before I pack up and move.

SO! Life is pretty darn good at this point. I've been going to bed early, but that's all right. Muscle building takes sleep, and I've been doing a lot of muscle building lately. And it means I wake rested--which just makes the whole thing that much better.

Off to take care of some laundry. And wildcelticrose? Don't be surprised to see me at happy hour tomorrow. :)
