On cake.

I'm not a huge fan of cake, really. My favourite types of desserts generally involve fruit--key lime pie, blackberry cobbler, strawberry shortcake. That said, there are times when I'm REALLY in the mood for a good piece of cake. :)
My absolute favourite is Black Forest cake. The chocolate/cherry mix is DIVINE, and it's usually made with a darker chocolate than what you generally find over here. I also enjoy Devil's Food cake. In fact, I like most types of chocolate cake, except German chocolate, because it's made with coconut, which is The Food Of Evil. (I'm mildly allergic to most nuts--they make me itch, as souleswanderer can attest--but coconut tastes nasty, too.)
I'm also a big fan of Bostom Cream Pie. Hold on! I hear folks saying. That's cheating! She said cake!
Yeah. Boston Cream Pie is a yellow cake with a creamy filling and a chocolate glaze. Didn't know that, did you? ;) In its perfect form, it's moist and gooey and just melts in your mouth. Ohhh, yum.
