Seventeen more early wake-ups! This week has 5 days, then we have a 4-day weekend (well, I have a 3-day weekend, the kids have a 4-day) and thus a 3-day week, then another 5-day week, then a 4-day week! That Thursday, June 15, is the last day of school. WOOT!!!!
Not that I'm counting. Nooooooo, not me. (hee!)
I managed to sign up for the two last days to check our textbooks in, which means I get a nice long time to work out of the texts. June 8 and 9 are when we're checking ours in--which is actually just fine, since the last week of school will mostly be the HIV/AIDS curriculum in science and fun stuff like origami in math. (Yes, origami is math-related. It's geometry. Very specific geometry--and you have to have good spatial relations skills in order to be good at it.)
I've already signed up for the "mandatory for department heads" class on June 23. I haven't been told I'm definitely going to be head of dep't next year, but there's nobody else who wants it afaik, and I really sorta do. So, I already signed up. A little forward-thinking, right? A little initative?
I'm nuts. Certifiably. I must be.
In any case, I'm feeling pretty good about this whole thing, really. I'm pretty excited about it. I really am looking at the possibility of moving my career forward, possibly eventually ending up with an administrative position at the district level. I don't particularly want to be a building administrator--but I do think I'd like to work in the district offices, maybe doing something with curriculum. I'm not sure I can see myself in a classroom for the rest of my life. Then again, maybe I can. Who knows?
My last load of laundry (except for towels) is in the washer, but it's already 8:25 and I should be in bed by 9:00... so I probably won't get the whites finished. No real huhu; I've got more than enough clothes for tomorrow, and can finish it up then. Most of today has been spent either at church, or at home watching The West Wing. I had 13 episodes DVR'd, and I watched about half of them yesterday. I'm on the very last episode now... should probably go finish watching it before bed. Tomorrow and the next day will be spent on watching all the episodes of Prison Break I have DVR'd, and then I may actually have room to watch the new stuff that gets recorded each week.
Anyone know when season one of Bones is coming out on DVD?
