you're a waste of time
I got a raise today. It is such a great feeling when you are not expecting it. I was amazed. Not like it is huge, but it was bigger than Shaun's raise...mind you, he gets paid like double what I do! Yeah, I am a broke ass. But, my ever so great writing has gotten me a bit more pay, and a lot of experience! I love my job, even if it pays crap.
Gas prices are making me sick. Last night, $2.94, today, $3.05. Insane. Being in the 'real world' sucks ass. Speaking of - I have to do grocery shopping and dishes yet tonight. grrrr.
So, in three weeks, I will be in Seattle. Yeah, its a bit crazy if you ask me, but I just cannot wait to be there and do loads of stuff. I really want to go to Mt. Rainier or Olympic National Park. I say or because we are thinking of driving to Portland for a day....I KNOW, we are pretty dumb. But, if we are out that way, we might as well do as much as possible. We are going to at least one show, if not two or three...who knows how lucky we will get.
But. Really. I think that this trip will really show Shaun and I if we have what it takes to keep things going. We have never traveled alone. I mean, "honeymoon" was just a week away from work, taking care of the business aspect of being married and spending some time with our friends in Indy. So, this will really showcase how much fun we can have together and if we can stand being around each other for long periods of time. Yes, I know what you all are thinking. After about 6 yrs of being together, isn't this something you should know? HA HA HA. Only if you are a jetsetter, etc. So, since I was not fortunate to have that, I am doing my best to work out the kinks. We will see. I am not sure the grass would be greener with someone else, but...maybe. Never will know, I suppose.
