Gold Silver Bronze and Boostle's Love Child
Whoot! Canada now has our first ever gold metal on home turf, due to Alexandre the Awesome (This happened a while ago but I haven't had time to write.) I was at work when this happened, and taking sneaky glances at the screen when I could (The mongols are one of my favourite events). I was so very very happy. I think I scared some people at work, actually, with my screams of joyous happiness, and it certainly took me a long time to stop grinning.
And we have another silver in snowboarding, as well as a bronze in speed-skating! Not bad, not bad at all. I am definitely proud of our athletes.
In a completely unrelated note (well, still related to the olympics, sort of) I was watching the couples figure skating also, and saw something that made me laugh. It was busier at work during that event so I really didn't see much, and couldn't tell you the names or even the countries of most of the people I saw, but one guy was very memorable. He had a shiny blue uniform and his butt looked like Booster Gold's. This makes me an epic nerd, but all through his performance I kept thinking that he was Booster Gold and Blue Beetle's love child. It cracked me up so bad, I couldn't keep a straight face.
