Summary: Sometimes feelings and emotions can be expressed not only through words but it can also be expressed through other ways as well. (Declaration of Love)
…
In his eyes, the world has always been a scary place, because ever since he was little, the only thing that the world has brought into his life is the feeling of grief and disdain. However, it all changed. It changed for the better, because one rainy night in an alleyway. While he was being soaked from head to toe by the rain, after being left molested, broken and raped.
A person, with eyes so kind and gentle, graced a warm jacket above his quivering, small frame before gently lifting him up and carrying him inside a place that he now freely calls his own as well-his and Yamada’s little home. Yet, he couldn’t help but doubt himself, especially if he is really worth of this man’s kindness. Of Yamada Ryosuke’s love and of Yamada Ryosuke’s warmth and appreciation-his protection; especially since in any way that one may look at it, he is nothing more and nothing less but a nobody to the older boy’s life. He is just a hindrance and another responsibility and obligation. Although, how many times he doubt himself and his worth, or how many times he tell the older boy that he should just throw him away and bring him back to where he came from-the slumps. The older boy, with his kind and gentle brown eyes, will just crinkle his lips into a smile, before pulling him up, sitting him on his lap and encapsulating him suddenly in a warm and affectionate embrace. That now, he doesn’t even know if he can ever forget, nor ever live without. Because now, he is slowly starting to feel too attached and he doesn’t want that. He doesn’t want to tie himself again and be hurt again in the process. Not again.
That’s the reason why, one rainy night, just like the day when he was found in an alleyway. He ran away. He escaped; not because of feeling too much pain. In contrary, it’s because he is feeling so much more than he should feel for his savior-for his Ryo-chan. That’s why to avoid any more conflicts and heartaches. The least he can do as an apology and a thank you to the person, who introduced him to another side of the world he doesn’t know of, is to go away and never show his face. Because surely if he stay, consequences will be there, since he’ll fall more and love his Ryo-chan more than he should. And that outcome, that Yuri doesn’t want, because he just can’t push himself to a person who doesn’t even feel the same way and doesn’t love him the same way that he does.
“…I’m so fucked up and sick. I’m sorry,” he sobbed, “I’m really sorry, Ryo-chan, for being a burden to you, for taking so much of your precious time, for being demanding and…sorry…just sorry…especially for falling deeply in love with those smiles and those warm eyes; and of those sweet gestures that never once failed to make my heart fall once, twice, thrice, a billion of times… I am just so sorry for everything, Ryo-chan. So please don’t ever stay mad at me for too long for leaving you and running away. So Ryo-chan this is farewall...I-Sayonara.” He bid his last farewell, yet as he turned his back and started to walk away from the place he calls his home. He didn’t hear sounds of footsteps chasing after him. Not until-thud, “…don’t go away. Yuri, stay.” Yamada begged as he held on to his little one’s shocked frame. “…don’t leave me. Don’t go anywhere. Don’t go away. Please Yuri, stay. Stay with me-“he rasped before he turned his little one’s body around so that he could see that beautiful tear-stained face. “-please? Please stay with me? Always and always and always and always, okay? Promise, okay?” Yamada trailed off, while his hands it slowly cupped and wiped away his little one’s tears.
Yet for Yuri, everything that’s been coming out from Ryosuke mouth is a blur, he can only understand pieces of it. Since he is just too overwhelmed-overwhelmed of the fact that Ryosuke chased after him and even found out that he was leaving. However nothing else mattered at the moment for the little one, because as of the moment he is happy. Very, very happy,“…Ryo-chan, how did you-“although he wasn’t able to finish, because before he could even say another line. He felt Ryosuke’s lips atop his into a passionate kiss. And, as they savor the moment of bliss, Yuri finally heard one thing that caused his heart to leap-a declaration of love.
“I love you, Yuri. So please don’t go away, okay? Don’t try to leave me ever again because I don’t know if I’ll be able to live another day without seeing you and feeling you here in my embrace.”
