Summary: The Queen of the South Kingdom died of a sickness quite early on in life. The King never remarried, but did adopt 5 sons. Many years later, it is time now for his children to begin looking for wives, and the King also decides to adopt a daughter, planning a matchmaking ball for her in advance. But the adoption process is delayed... And Prince Inoo has no choice but to step in and play the princes in his to-be-sister's place.
A/N: Here, finally... The end of the end. Hahaha.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            They were all lying on their backs on the stable roof, the dark night graced with stars. The occasional whisper, pointing out a constellation, but aside from that, they stayed silent, simply enjoying each other’s company. Hikaru let out a long, loud sigh.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Everything is so perfect.” He said, sounding contented. “It’s just the five of us again, Daiki’s got Keito in his bed, you’re here with me,” He smiled over at Yabu “Everything… Except,” He sat up fast, as if realizing something. “Everything except you two!” He pointed dramatically at Takaki and Inoo, who were laying next to Yabu, holding hands.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “What’s wrong with us exactly?” Inoo asked, raising an eyebrow. He and Takaki sat up, and Yabu found himself sitting too.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “C’mon Inoo! I know you’ve liked Takaki since… Forever, and Takaki, whether you realize it or what you like Inoo, a lot, so just… confess your undying love to each other or something!”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Inoo burst into giggles, Takaki laughing as Chinen spoke up.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “They already have.” He had his head on Ryutaro’s stomach, letting the younger boy play with his hair.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “What?!” Hikaru looked from Inoo to Takaki to Inoo again, pouting “Nobody tells me anything around here.” After looking at the two for a while though, eyes narrowed, an eyebrow raised, he declared “I don’t believe you.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Inoo was about to laugh again, but Takaki surprised him by placing a kiss-their first kiss-sweet and gentle, on his lips. “Love you~” He whispered as he pulled away, a giggle gracing his voice. Inoo just smiled back. How long he’d wanted this moment. “I know.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            A pout grew on Takaki’s perfect face. “Kei-chan, that’s not what you’re supposed to say~”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            The use of his first name surprised him, but he smiled. He loved the way it sounded, the way Takaki said it. Bringing Takaki’s face down to his, he said “Fine Yuya. I love you too.”, sealing the statement with their second kiss.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Dai-chan!” Inoo ran forward, toppling his brother in a hug, the younger having to grab onto his fiancé’s shoulder for support.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Geez Inoo. Every time I see you I feel like you’re going to kill me.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Inoo laughed, and Daiki added grudgingly “But in a good way.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Inoo pulled back to look at his face. “I just haven’t seen you in so long!” he remarked, greeting Keito with a hug as well. Despite the fight to get Keito to stay, Daiki and Keito ended up moving out together a few years later, with much, much talk of getting married. It was exciting.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “I’ve never been to this kind of party before.” Came a slightly nervous voice as two more people walked in, Yamada and Yuto, hand and hand. Yamada was laughing, Yuto saying “I don’t even think I know how to dance.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Inoo hugged the two of them as well, inviting them into the ballroom. A party was to start in a few hours.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            As he closed the door behind the new arrivals someone sneaked up on him, wrapping arms around his waist, lips pressing gently to his neck.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Hey.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Hi.” Inoo responded in a playful tone, sliding out of Takaki’s embrace to entwine their hands. “Where is everyone else?”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Shintaro’s mooching in the kitchen, and Chinen and Ryu are still upstairs.” They giggled like immature children over the last half of that sentence, skipping into the ballroom together. The Southerners had finally arrived for the “celebration”-Yabu hadn’t let Hikaru out of his sight, and Chinen had been riding on Ryutaro’s back almost all day. Inoo almost wanted to complain about the PDA, but really, he hadn’t been behaving much better.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Takaki pulled him close, humming a bit. “You excited?” He asked. Inoo nodded, smiling. Then Chinen appeared in the doorway, motioning him over.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “I gotta go.” Inoo gave Takaki a brief peck on the lips. “Tell everyone to start getting more prepared, I’m gonna go get dressed up.” He winked. Takaki laughed.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Elegant music was playing, smooth, as Inoo opened the ballroom door. This time, he wasn’t the center of attention, sneaking in, doing this just for fun. His hair was clipped up, back. He was used to these types of shoes now.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Inoo caught Takaki’s eye and the Prince walked over, taking his hand delicately. Takaki looked stunning.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “You clean up well.” Inoo joked, poking him, Takaki pulling him onto the dance floor.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “So do you. You look very handsome.” Takaki laughed at his own wording, Inoo opening his mouth into an ‘o’ of mock offence.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “That is no way to address a lady.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            At least, that’s what he tried to say, breaking down into giggles before he could finish his sentence. He was dressed up again, heels, hem of his dress to his ankles.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            This wasn’t Inoo’s ball-it was Shintaro’s, a ball for him to meet ladies, but he had already sneaked away from the party with his boyfriend-so it was casual for all the South Princes, an opportunity for celebration that they were invited to.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            The day was, however, a bit more special than that. The dress had been a bit of a surprise, and Inoo hadn’t wanted to wear it at first, but he ended up getting in-then losing-a bet with Chinen.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “No Chii, this is too weird!”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “C’mon~ Takaki’ll like it!”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            That had made Inoo turn red, grabbing the dress from Chinen’s hands, just to shut the boy up.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Takaki leaned Inoo on to him, entwining their hands, swaying together. “Happy anniversary.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            He remembered.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “It’s not a real anniversary.” Inoo mumbled back, resting his head on Takaki’s shoulder.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Six months is pretty important.” Takaki argued back. He chuckled. “Ironic that you’re back in a dress, isn’t it? A nice fabric-I like it.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “I told you!” Chinen popped out of nowhere, pointing.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Shut up!” Inoo blushed, shoving the younger. “Go away!”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Luckily he did, Takaki regaining Inoo’s attention with a kiss. “You’re so cute when you’re mad.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “Shut up.” Inoo tried to fight his blush down, but was unsuccessful, Takaki leaning in again. “And embarrassed.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            ”Stop it.” They were getting stared at.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Takaki laughed, taking Inoo’s hand and pulling him outside. They leaned on the balcony, looking out.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “So… Would you rather?” Takaki offered. Inoo laughed. “Okay.”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            They played it for a while, until the question rolled around: “So. Would you rather marry your brother Hikaru, or a dragon?”

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            Dragon. The symbol of the North Kingdom. Inoo leaned over, kissing Takaki.

mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">            “The dragon. I choose it over Hikaru hands down.”
