Okay, my boss is going to England for two weeks. She says that in the airports, they now have people disposing of their contraband liquids in giant trash cans. Don't believe it? Look on any news website and you will see pictures of people pouring liquids into "special containers". I really hope that this is just for photographic sensation, and not a true game strategy. Because to me, pouring supposed highly reactive chemicals (nitroglycerin anyone?) all in one big container is a really. dumb. idea.
I'm glad I'm going in the opposite direction, down to Mexico, where airport security is so ridiculously nice to Americans, I could probably walk through wearing nothing but a strap-on, holding three water bottles and a switch-blade, and they would just smile. Because I don't travel without bringing my own water and diet coke, especially where the diet coke tastes weird and drinking the water gives you dysentery.
And, obviously, I don't travel anywhere without a strap-on and a switch-blade either.
