Now where the hell was I? See I knew this would be a bugger to keep up. Not the film watching, that's great fun. But the keeping up writing about them? Damn me and my "not starting what I finish" ways. I WILL do this.
Okey dokey, Number 13 was a film based on a Clive Barker short story called
Book of Blood, and suggested by G.R.A.V.I.T.Y boy Psynaptic Mysfit. "A paranormal expert discovers a house that is at the intersection of so-called "highways" transporting souls in the afterlife." (copied straight of imdb - cuz I'm lazy) This is probably my favourite kind of scary film. Spooky old houses, and ghosts, and things that go bump in the night, But this one doesn't really go anywhere and to be honest, I found myself just wishing it would get to the point - and it never does. It's all trousers and no balls.

Straight after, I watched the classic
A Nightmare on Elm Street as proposed by several, but first by the very hip and cool
stevethemodel. Firstly because I haven't seen this film in decades (yes I can say that) and secondly, I really wanted to see something to take the edge off the dissatisfaction with the previous film. Tell you something, it's not a classic for nothing, and I know that this probably sounds like a stinking cliche, but I DID have disturbing dreams later that night. Proves that after nearly 30 years, it still has the power. I hereby swear that I will never watch it's sequels or re-makes. Dream on kiddies :) Awesome stuff!

I fucked up on number 15 - and I'm a bit sad about it. I was supposed to watch
The Eye as given the thumbs up to by
mark13 'owever - I managed to download a copy with Dutch subtitles like the whizz I am, so went and found a copy in "English" and it turned out to be
The Eye and time was a getting on, so I thought "oh well" and watched it. It's not bad, but I'm a bit miffed because I think I might have spoilt myself for the original (which is being dispatched as I type from someone in amazonland, I hope) This 2008 remake (or US translation or wtf) is probably the same film done for people who can't read a film and concentrate on the plot at the same time, and is not too shabby as it goes. It's a good story, great opening scene and quite a few panic moments throughout. After a while I forgot it was Jessica Alba and got into it (Ok, so I'd had a spliff) - but I am still really looking forward to seeing the original. Worth a look, but only if your not into foreign language films - otherwise hold out for the original.

HALF WAY THROUGH MOTHERFUCKER!!! \o/
Next up was a suggestion from my colleague at work Victoria (she's only 20, so leave her alone) and was
Dreamcatcher, I do love a bit of Castle Rock Entertainment now and again, and despite this being "not scary at all" was a refreshing break. More comedy horror than anything else, but the "monster" was quite creepy at first. Then it all gets a bit over the top ridiculous, but I did enjoy it.

Dunno why I'm justifying the fact that she's only 20. James is 16 and his taste in films is sick!
