A small apology to the Cox-i-nator for being a little nuts early with a comment I posted.
The dig is that I've been reading "The Nazi Doctors: Medical Killing and the Psychology of Genocide", It has gotten me a bit off-kilter (as it probably should).
I do agree with the boy on the whole free speech bit.
And, I do know that the "violent" threats are merely rhetorical ventings, but I do understand how they can be more than a little questionable when taken at face value.
Hell, The American Nazi Party has adopted a highway in Oregon. The sign even says it. In America they should be allowed to do this even when they represent an ideology that nearly crushed the civilized world with the black leather jack boots of genocidal totalitarianism.
My head is so full of death and violence it just got to me.
I should probably stop reading that book. And, I'm only half-way through it.
Sometimes I can be in a certain mood that even vaccuous threats of violence can trigger an intense aversive reaction.
I'm going to stop here.
Hopefully I'll get a couple MFA apps sent off tonight.
