Because, honestly, I don't feel right encouraging the 'let's mob the people trying to have a normal vacation/go buy some ass paper/walk on the damn sidewalk' thing.

Someone else on my flist was just commenting about this in the Gerard Butler fandom - he's shooting a romantic comedy flick and the fanboards were already planning to road trip to try and see him. This was after the writer and director blasted the Butler fans on one of the latest DVD commentaries, and that Butler's family had to tell the fen to stop sending shit to their houses.

There are fans, and there are crazy fans. *headshaking*

I just don't understand it. I particularly don't understand it considering this band. They answer my myspace emails for God's sake. Not only did I have the bassist respond to my message about how excited I was about his upcoming solo show, he ALSO responded to my regrets that we ended up not being able to afford the show, and said he'd hope to see me next time. Whether or not that's EVEN TRUE, the band is so incredible communicative with their fans, it's not even funny. They definitely go the extra mile to make us feel appreciated, which is way more than, say, Rage Against the Machine, who would PEE on their fans ( ... )

Yes. That's the important part of that post. He keeps flashing them everywhere. I just want him to have some sense of dignity. For HIMSELF. Hairy man nipples are NOT attractive, and trust me, by now they've been frollicking enough through the light of day that I can say, yes, they are hairy.

How have you been around me this long and not seen his nipples, good God. Find me on AIM and I will dig up the link to the picture that offends me most which I do NOT actually have saved to my HD because the nipples are far too distracting.
