So, erm, I've been in Birmingham for about a month now...There's not much to report. I work 40 hours a week at Joe Muggs, and when I am not there I am either hanging out with Ickna, rereading the Harry Potter series in preparation for release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, or spending entirely too much money at Whole Foods. I am addicted to their fried green tomato BLTs.
One thing of note, Ickna and I (and Adam and Lauren O.) went to see Infected Mushroom in Atlanta. That was a shit-ton of fun, despite initial difficulties in reaching the club...I loved their music before I saw them live, but after standing 10 feet from them, dancing like a maniac, and lusting after the contingent of Israelis that was dancing a few feet away, their music gives me a tingly feeling whenever I hear it.

Also, I am plotting to build a table and a mandolin made from an old cigar box.
Other than that, I am keeping to myself and generally avoiding being around large groups of people. I've discovered that's the best way to maintain sanity...
I need to start doing yoga again.
My family is going to California on July 21st. That should be fun. We're going to San Francisco, up to see the redwoods, through Napa, into Yosemite, and to Lake Tahoe, I think...My parents don't believe in relaxing on vacation.

I remain convinced that America is doomed; Someone
shot 4 dolphins in California, our
president commuted the sentence of a traitor, and
a man was arrested for reciting the First Amendment. None of these things are okay, but noone seems to be doing anything about it. I have no idea what we can do.
It is becoming more and more desirable to leave this country...At this point, almost anywhere else in the developed world is better. Colombia now grants gays equal rights, and
nearly everyone in Germany hates Scientology (and by extension, Tom Cruise).
Any way, more fun things:
