Animals We Have Known
My father has a collection of short stories he has written about the animals in his life, which has become a kind of biography. As I thought about the animals he wrote about that were the parts of his life I remember, I naturally started creating chapters of my own life around the animals I have known. Such wonderful memories! All the memories are almost indescribably beautiful.
I had to share this one, which is from the cover of what my father is writing. This is Prince Aladdin of Dalmatia.
Otherwise known as our beloved Snuffy. Mabel (now I have to find a picture of her) and Snuffy were our fur sister (although actually Mabel was more like an aunt) and fur brother when my brother (the human one) and I were growing up.
Snuffy was the bestest of dogs! (But aren't they all?")
And this picture has kept me smiling all week.
