So I'm here at the Mack Hall Front Desk feeling like the mailman checking out people's packages and reflecting on my new favorite college class: Japanese 231 Elements of Culture. We read about Shinto, a religion once popular in Japan, now more of a philosophy with Buddhism the prevailing faith. Shinto says that people should put all they have into their lives rather than worry so much about the afterlife like so many other religions. It's interesting. And so are the stories about the creation of Japan and it's early inhabitants coming into being as a result of incestual relations between brother and sister deities.

Hmmm.

Glad that 5 of my 20 credit hours are guaranteed interesting.

:-)
