I got to see Camille today, we had an utterly fabulous time she got to see sweeney and we chatted about that and meeting Audra McDonald together. In 60 years we will be singing Bosom Buddies from Mame like Angela Lansbury and Bea Arthur and it will kick ass, seriously, that girl and i will grow old together.
we also watched carol channing and ll cool j (that woman is COMPLETELY senile.) and elaine stritch doing "ladies who lunch"... without pants on. and patti lupone "shakin' that thang" in candide and i honestly think those four videos are the most amazing things i've ever seen... and they all involve old, fabulous, theater goddesses.
here's an interesting tid-bit. when we were in guatemala i went to a cafe called "caffe oppera" and they had all these pictures from differnt operas and these amazing pictures of Maria Callas all over the walls, it was weird, i think it was because i hadn't in such a theater related enviroment in so long but i felt more comfertable there then any where else in guatemala, i just felt like "i get this" anyways, since being there i started listening to maria callas, i've never been much of an opera person, but i'm really liking it. it's truley a remarkable art.
i really don't want school to start, and i'm really nervous that i'm not in the PSP class which, and don't think i'm tootin' my own horn, but i really should be in. if i'm not this is going to come terribly easy to me and i'm not gonna be challenged at all, and i don't like that.
whatever, nothing i can do about it...
