That show “Cities of the Underground” on the History Channel is really good. This last ep was about the city resting under Berlin. I did not know that all the hills and mounds in Berlin are man-made and that buried beneath the rubble is, well, more rubble. The old city, the one that was destroyed during WWII is the mountains that Berlin has. Who knew?
I’m thinking that if anyone is actually reading this journal they’re wondering if I could be any more of a dork. Can’t help it. I love history. I love learning. Okay, I am a dork.
So, this past Saturday I helped my mom out at her house. Her front yard was a big pile of dirt. They finally put grass in. No, let me rephrase that: I put grass in. Bloody hell that was a nightmare. No joking. There was sod in the back of my mom’s moron of a boyfriend’s truck and I, being the youngest, got the not-so-wonderful job of hauling the shit out. To make things worse, I had to deal with the shell being on the stupid truck so my back, knees, and pretty much every other part of me is throbbing in pain. My right wrist seems to have taken the worst of it though. I think I may have chipped a bone of something. I can barely do my job. I’ve iced my wrist, wrapped it, everything but see a doctor. *whimpers*
I’m gonna go ice it some more. I think I’ll try to find a heating pad too. I don’t want to see a doctor!
