I went a-camping last week, in Denmark. Was fairly nice, beach jogging, eating bowls of toffee, making beady things etc. etc. the usual family things, including having many moments wishing you were away with anyone but your family.
Everything is pacing along nicely. I seem to have found a new happy place where I am at peace with myself. I think i have two things to thank for that, firstly Alex who is simply love incarnate and secondly Jonathan Safran-Foer and his books which are utterly beautiful and breathtaking. "...if there is no love in the world, we will make a new world, and we will give it heavy walls, and we will furnish it with soft red interiors, from the inside out, and give it a knocker that resonates like a diamond falling to a jeweler's felt so that we should never hear it. " One of many lines that killed me.
Am starting to get busy, finding that my diary is filling with things to do and people to see. Catching up with old school friends, seeing plays, birthdays, finding cheap art supplies, organising exciting future moving out events, getting dusty pulling down shoe boxes from shelves and all things floral.
Firefly *squee* It has been awhile, this feeling of sci-fi fangirl squealing! Yay for Joss Wheden.
Gotye... i have been searching for Like Drawing Blood. Where can i get my hands on it?!
The 'Introducing' series about philosophers, theorists etc. for making Foucault easy to read in amusing comic format.
Ooo, tomorrow mum and myself are seeing a psychic at Freo markets. Apparently this woman is rather intuitive , mum is keen and I am curious so off we go! I shall blog the findings
