(drum roll)
...
1. Do you still talk to the person you had your first kiss with?
I haven't seen him for several months. Actually, just over a year. So I guess that's a no.
2. What would you do with 1,000 plastic spoons?
Take them to work and fill someone's cubicle with them while the s/he was at lunch.
3. What did you do when you weren't in school in the 2nd grade?
I would frequently steal my older sister's math book to work more interesting problems. (multiplication was way cooler than addition.)
4. What is the best thing about your job?
Toss up between: (1) a few really cool people who entertain me at work and (2) massive opportunities for continuing education and learning.
5. Do you like more than one person right now?
I have minor attractions to a few people, no serious attachments.
6. Are you against same sex marriage?
No, but I am against people who are against it.
7. Did you vote for Bush?
No, but seeing as my voting reg'n is in Abalama, it didn't really matter.
8. Where are you going on your next vacation?
If I'm able, the next vacation will be to Abalama for Jennifer's graduation. If I don't make that, the next vacation will be to California for my grandmother's 75th birthday.
9. Where did you go on your first ride on an airplane?
I don't remember it, but I'm sure it was out to LA to visit my grandparents.
10. Are most of your friends guys or girls?
My close-close friends are all girls right now. But in my circle of close friends, it's an even mix.
11. Do you own any furniture from IKEA.
Death to IKEA. The furniture is decent, but zeus the warehouse is a hellhole and the assembly is worse than being tortured by a thousand madmen. On the other hand, my IKEA cutting board is a pretty red and brightens up the kitchen nicely.
12. Last book you read?
I just (as in 10 minutes ago) finished Children of Dune by Frank Herbert. Before that, I read Dune Messiah. Honestly, the first one, Dune was the best. The ending in CoD was ... mmm ... lacking.
13. If you coud have one superpower what would it be?
There are three I really like: teleportation, telekinesis and flying. I don't know if I could decide between them.
14. Where have you lived most of your life?
Abalama. Ask me that in ten years and hopefully the answer will be something else.
15. What was the last conversation you had about?
I was talking to a co-worker about future career plans; where we wanted to go after this training program is over. We were bouncing around ideas and thinking of ways to network our way over to where we want to be.
16. Where do you see yourself in four years?
I don't. I have no future vision right now. All I can see is where I am right now, stretching out interminably. (By the way, this is not a good thing.)
17. What's your favorite smell?
Man smell mixed with a bit of spicy warm cologne.
18. What is your favorite sound?
A greeting from someone who is truly happy to see me.
19. Are you moody?
Yeah, I think that adjective could be applied to me.
20. What's your favorite movie of all time?
Clue.
21. Have you ever done anything vindictive to your classmate?
Actually, I feel like I probably have. But I can't remember, because I've blocked out most memory of my college days.
22. Have you ever gone to therapy?
Yep. We had an interesting guy come to talk to us at work the other day about negotiation. He's an expert at negotiating cases to settlement. He kept telling us he thought everyone should have some therapy, if only to get an objective outside view of their own personality. His theory was: if you don't know going into a negotiation what your own personality and style is, you're doomed to screw something up and your opponent will use your style against you.
23. Have you ever played spin the bottle?
No. I missed that part of middle school.
24. Have you ever toilet-papered someone's house?
No, but I think I was dragged along on the toilet-buying preparation part once in high school. Band camp, you know.
25. Have you ever liked someone but never told them?
All of my middle-school crushes were unspoken (but probably blatantly obvious to anyone who looked).
26. Have you ever gone camping?
Spring Break 2005, Baby! Of course, that was less camping than a constant struggle against drowning until we decamped to my parents' house.
29. Have you ever had a crush on your sister's friend?
Yes, when I was a sophomore in high school I had a crush on one of my sister's guy friends. He was tall and blond and cute.
28. Have you ever gone to a nude beach?
No, and I'm not sure I'd want to.
29. Have you ever gone streaking?
No, not yet.
30. Have you ever had a stalker?
Hah. Briefly, sophomore year, I was too nice to an unattractive guy who lived downstairs in the dorm. After hanging out with him a couple times, he started coming by the room every day, even when I'd gone home for the weekend. (His excuse to my roommate was something creepy about visiting my teddy bear who was lonely with me not there.) Can't remember his name.
31. Have you ever gone skinny dipping?
In the ocean and almost drowned doing it? Yep. Woo riptide.
32. Have you ever laughed so hard you cried?
I have entertaining friends.
33. Have you ever gone to a party where you didn't know anyone?
No, I'm too shy. I would always have to drag someone with me.
34. Have you ever been in love?
Yes, a few times.
35. Have you ever felt betrayed by your best friend?
Yes. But usually I was either wrong or overreacting.
36. Have you ever lied to your parents?
I'd like to find one person who hasn't. I started lying to them when I was five, saying that I'd brushed my teeth when they were still obviously stanky.
37. Have you ever been out of the US?
Canada, France, Norway. Hopefully again soon.
38. Have you ever thrown up from working out?
Yeuch, no. I only throw up when I'm really sick.
39. Have you ever gotten a haircut so bad that you wore a hat for a month straight?
No, but I've definitely had to be creative in the use of headbands and clips during the growing-out stages. Hasn't everyone?
40. Have you ever eaten 3 meals from 3 different fast food places in 1 day?
No, I doubt it. I really only eat fast food when I travel and on super-special craving occasions (i.e., once ever couple months).
41. Last song you listened to?
Charlotte Martin - Up All Night
42. Have you ever spied on someone?
Absolutely. If I knew how to do it without getting caught, I would probably have internet- or email-stalked people, too.
43. Have you ever slept with one of your coworkers?
Not yet.
44. Have you ever seen your best friend naked?
Almost, but not quite.
45. Who was the last person who called you?
Not counting the gazillion work phone calls, my dad, called last night.
46. When was the last time you slept for more than 12 hours straight?
Last weekend. I'm in the sleep pattern that all the magazines are screaming about right now - sleep deprived during the week, pretend to catch up on the weekend. So I'm guessing the next time will be tomorrow.
47. Have you ever been arrested?
No. I doubt I'd handle it well, so I'm trying to avoid the situation.
48. Most embarassing CD you own?
I used to have the first Backstreet Boys CD, but I haven't seen it for a few years, so I can't officially say that I still own it. So, barring that . . . Will Smith - Big Willie Style. It was my 14-year-old foray into rap.
49. Have you ever stolen anything?
Yeah, you know. It happens. Got confused the first time I did a drive-thru at McDonalds. You know, the two different windows. The lady wasn't at the first window, where you pay, so I drove to the second one, where the other lady handed me the food, and I drove away. A minute down the road I realized I hadn't actually paid. Felt too stupid to go back and give them the $2.15 for the cheeseburger.
50. Have you ever drunk egg nog?
I may have tried it when I was very little, but in general it grosses me out and I can't remember actually drinking it.
Now my second reward for getting through the week: sleeping in tomorrow morning.
