(no subject)
I've had a strange couple of days. I was supposed to have four classes both yesterday and today. Yesterday morning, I showed up (a little late, because the classes don't actually start on the hour, which I was never told) and tried knocking on the door. No answer. Then I tried opening the door, which was locked. After a lot of confusion, another teacher showed me that there is a place where teacher's absences are posted. She had called in absent that morning. So, she should've been there that afternoon, for the two classes I was supposed to have with her. But, she wasn't, so I introduced myself without her help. In both classes, someone asked me where she was, which I couldn't answer at all. So, my 11:00 class today was supposed to be with her as well. And I went through the same thing again. Only this time I didn't check the absence board until after class, so I just sat in the room where I'm going to be when I'm alone with the students, hoping that she would send some to me, since I had no idea what room she was in. So, I'm not even trying to show up for the class with her I'm supposed to have right now. I just wish I knew what I was supposed to do. Also, I think I might have some discipline problems, because I'm way too nice, and they're going to take advantage of me, I can tell. High school is weird. This afternoon's class was mostly boys, with only four girls sitting in a back corner and never talking. And there was the one guy that everyone teases. It's kind of horrible.
