I'm now in the small city where I'll be spending the rest of the year, Vierzon. I got here yesterday, on the same train as the English assistant at the same school. We were picked up by one of the English teachers, David, who his hilarious. Everyone here is very nice and helpful, but everything is still very overwhelming and confusing still. I seem to only be able to accomplish one thing each day. Today I opened a bank account. Tomorrow, I might manage to go to the grocery store. I also got internet today, so that will be pretty nice. Along with me and the English girl, there is also a German assistant and a Spanish assistant from Uruguay. They all seem pretty nice. The town itself is very pretty, and stereotypically French. There isn't really very much to do here, but exploring should be fun. Except that it's going to be quite cold, very soon! The only thing I can say about the weather right now is that it changes a lot. My room is alright. It's like a dorm room, but quite big. If I get inspired, maybe I'll post pictures of it.
All in all, things are going pretty well, although I'm still feeling the usual depressed lonely feeling that happens in a new place, when you only know people very superficially.
vierzon,
