Quite a few friends of mine who are in school are super busy right now with finals, which has made me become nostalgic for my days back at clark. I know finals week is a pain in the ass, but it's different from working a job. You might not be paid for slaving away at school, but it's for your own personal development. I miss that feeling of self improvement that comes with learning new things. I know I'm doing that right now without formal education, especially in regards to music, but it's not the same. I'm surrounded by intelligent people right now, but very few of them share some of my more acedemic interests. I love connecting with people over music, drink, fashion, and gossip, but I also want to talk about history, literature, philosophy, and geography. I think everyone respects those interests, but it doesn't elicit the same passion that I have.
That said, I'm pretty satisfied with my life. I'm super excited for Saturday. Weekend Warrior's sound is still continuing to change and diversify, and more and more people are becoming interested in us. What more can a band want? We'll be playing somewhere between two to four new songs that night, and I can't wait to hear what people think.
