Today, I signed a rental agreement and got the keys for a house in North East Portland. Its only a block away from John and Cheyennes apartment, so the fun times we had as neighbors can start up again. Im working full time again at AAA, doing roadside assistance phone work. Its a hard job but Im having a much easier time with it now than last summer. I start out at a decent salary ($10 an hour) and I have the chance of making quite a lot more in performance related bonuses. I also have the chance of being trained as an auto travel agent in the next few months, which will net me a higher salary and be a much more enjoyable position as well.
The band is going well too. People responded well to the second performance of John and I as a duo, which has both of us pretty excited. I really want to us to stick out from your average Portland drone/psych band, and hopefully we are on the way to doing that. Were planning record different versions of the songs on the website, as well as some new ones. Look for us playing some shows in the fall with added personnel and new material.
