i watched as the stars all fell from the sky. like glitter to cover the ground where we layed. you jumped up to dance in the spectacle...i laughed at it all and turned my head to see the rest of the world.
leaves of the trees bounced with the weight..
each stardust fleck covering the green that once was. an outstreched wing of a smiling dove took my imagination away.
silver fell like fire that night..and your spinning intrepid dance made me remeber the time a lion had followed us home.
his grinning muzzle a scary sight till you gave him a ribbon made of clove and daisy...
the lion impressed us with a song, we tilted our heads and ran towards neon lights of humming summer days.
the stars begin to melt the ice so we sink right in for a swim.
underneath the surfae a million fins of silk and satin seal our fate.kicking we pretend to be sachronized swimmers, when i am just afraid, and you are brilliant to the core. on the shore we practice yoga and spoke about the ends of our past lives.
i smile and laugh, you talk so fast and grin. somewhere inside i take you within.
then silence falls and presses to our chest.....
our eyes finally meet back at the sky...
laying on our backs the earth above us so large and towering. you take my hands in yours, how it fits so perfectly. and i feel that warmth of a tear that falls from my eye....
i always knew this was where i would want to be when the stars fell from the sky.
