So as the night waned and the world turned Butterfly began an impressionable amount of thinking. her mind swam in what she knew was right and what the others wanted. constantly she felt as if she was lying to those that she held dear. Beauty begged for Butterfly to just "drop" Late. However, Butterfly knew better. She didn't want to turn on Late, infact her heart wept at the thought, but Beauty persisted. At times Butterfly would ignore calls from Late, or calls from Crow. she knew the words that slipped from her lips were tainted with dishonesty and these thoughts evailed her from continuing conversation with either. Then, my friends, the weekend came.
Crow had asked if he could spend time with Butterfly, and she had accepted on the call that once again Beauty would be able to see Bird. the evening had stretched forth in the same manner as the first evening the two had spent together. Butterfly consumed so much of the clear liquid and her heart raced as she laughed at it all. her feelings were numbed and subconsciencly she wondered if she would make it to morning. his hands had reached for her, but she had turned, laughing, and pushed him away. by the rise of dawn her head was pounding.
-I'll call you later.-he stood by the door hands in his pockets.
-Beauty has been called out you know?-Butterfly smiled with messed up hair and make-up loss-Or elese we would stay.
Truth be told, Beauty had recieved an urgent call and as her and Cookie rushed about to gather thier items Butterfly stood among the wreck of herself with Crow watching through beading eyes.
the girls took Butterfly and led her away in the car the top came down and the breeze soaked through Butterfly like the waking call of a thousand angels.
-So? did you enjoy yourself? Beauty pushed her foot on the accelerator and waited impatiently for an answer as she hurridly switched lanes.
Butterfly's mouth went dry. she knew so much now and she knew that there was no way she could explain it to Beauty. reaching for her rose tinted shades the young Butterfly let her shield of blonde drop across her blushing cheeks.
-Butterfly!?
-I have no expectations.
-how do you feel about him?
-I'm just confused Beauty
with this statement the car swerved. Cookie's eyes widened in the back seat.
-what is there to be confused about, Crow is so you! just let it happen, give him a chance Butterfly.
at once the conversation ceased. Butterfly stared out the window so unsure of when her life had become no longer her own.
Back at the house Beauty took her leave.
-You need to figure this out on your own you know.-Cookie stood beside Butterfly.
-i know, i know what i'm doing-Butterfly smiled, but it was more of a wince.
-you can't just react to what others say, you are not like that
-i know what i need.
-well then don't let anyone talk you out of what you know is right for you.
-i'm NOT!-Butterfly felt the lie run cold through her blood.
-Beauty adores Crow and then when i speak of Late she becomes annoyed.
-So?
-it makes it hard you know?
-do you need her approval.....that doesn't seem much like you at all Butterfly.-Cookie turned to leave.
-what do i do? who takes the win?
-if you wait to long you'll lose.
-i Know!-Butterfly pushed her hands through her hair. it fell and shattered around her face
Late called as the girls proceeded to regain the sleep they had lost.
Butterfly wanted so badly to see him, but her heart pounded with the thought of stretching another lie. one on her lips, one in her heart. she knew that her reasons were coming in clearer, but she knew that Beauty would hate the whole truth.
