Caution: Romanista bias. Some nekkidz.
It was what I call a match of redemption-- lots of mistakes committed, only to be compensated for with succeeding... things of beauty: (a) Vucinic missed a sitter, but levelled the match with an equalizer for Roma; (b) Mexes made a defensive blunder that sent Lazio up 1-0 so early on, but made an assist to Mancini that put us up 2-1, and (c) Mancini missed an easy volley in 1H, but made up for it with a goal and an incredible assist to Mirko (and did anyone see his 9-in-a-row stepover spectacle!? LOL, right?)
And look who's back together! ♥
^More of such after the cut >=)
It was one of those rollercoaster games. Roma were all kinds of... inconsistent.
I'd say Lazio dictated the pace of the match for the most part.
Our best moment was in the middle of the first half when the Romans were playing one-touch football, and showed how passing is SUPPOSED to be done
(seriously, they were just passing the ball around, toying with the Lazio defenders LOL).
Pizarro was great yesterday, didn't lose a single ball.
And speaking of losing the ball, here's Rocchi with the opening goal, courtesy of Mexes.
Daniele was too choked up emotionally invested (he got teary-eyed when Simone scored), and was making all kinds of passing blunders.
Still effective defensively though.
With the exception of the Rocchi goal, Juan and Mexes were freaking impenetrable last night
Aerial hustle
...and Juan has yet to break my heart with his incredible timing and clean tackling.
*singing his praises*
And ohmyGod, Marco Cassetti, I can't believe how much he's improved defensively. He was cleaning up after Daniele's mistakes. Truth.
^Also a good diver. :P (And since when did he start playing as LB?! This man plays 3 positions now?! Whut.)
Max was fielded as a winger and was great at it. But when isn't he? Mr. Consistent, truly.
Vucinic, I would like him to be faster and get to his crosses ahead of his defenders.
He would've scored a hat trick if he made it in time, everytime. (I know; I should lighten up.)
LOL
1 all, bitches.
I love how he runs away from Manci like he wants nothing to do with his asssister.
But he goes on to celebrate with this one. Biased, much?
He was giallo'd for stripping.
But Daniele doesn't seem to mind.
They've been doing that all week.
This, too.
Typical.
Couple Vooch shots for
petarr
He reminds me of Curious George, srsly.
And then there was Amantino.
He assisted Mirko's goal.
Three words, people. ONE. TOUCH. FOOTBALL.
And also scored for the 2-1 lead.
Mexes assisted the Manci goal.
What was Mexes doing in the goalmouth anyway?! Sneaky Romans. ♥
Manci did a crazy mime-like dance to celebrate.
And then knelt to thank the heavens.
Mirko's turn to show some amore.
Speaking of amore.
The blue thing in the middle is all kinds of obstructive. Shoo!
After his goal, Amantino did 9 successive stepovers which made made me LOL to no end. Poor Lazio defender, getting all confoozled.
Oh and of course there was Perrotta.
I couldn't really celebrate during the Vooch and Manci goals. Things were still vulnerable until the Simone goal, which put us up 3-1.
But after Protzee's freak goal, I could breathe again.
GOL!
At 3-1, Daniele could taste the win, he wanted to cry. (it's been 2 years since Roma won the derby, ok?)
3tp, y'all.

nekkid!Simone
Woah. he. is. ripped. JUST SAYIN'!
The halftime break came after that, and I expected us to play defensively but still attack as we normally would, but Spal was on all kinds of crazy meds and decided to be all too-cautious, and allowed Lazio to push us around.
True enough, Ledesma scored off a FK and narrowed the goal margin back to one. But thankfully, our defense didn't crumble, though they were tested for an entire half-hour.
oh yeah Mirko tore his shirt. Stop wondering why.
I'm actually surprised this game didn't end with a 3-3 draw. That HONESTLY would've been the fair result.
^Happy Fra
Anyway, thank God we held on to the lead. Our defense is learning from their mistakes (no more conceding in the 80th+ minute, boys!)
^check out Mexes in the background! :)~
Fra was proud. :)
Soon as the whistle blew, I went to the loo. (Oi that rhymed!)
But Daniele whored out. Seriously, count.
