Viola: Siena Winnage, Villarreal Drawage

Oct 26, 2007 11:58

(Bobo's back, in more ways that one.)
It's been a good few days for Fiorentina, starting with a magical (particularly in the first half, when they were so good they'd have given anyone trouble) win over Siena, and a UEFA Cup draw with Villarreal. Though the draw was frustrating because they tied it only thee minutes from the end, a point away was exactly what the Viola needed against the best team in the group; moving on to the next stage should be no problem. Seriously. *knocking on wood*

First, a confession: I have a huge thing for Loria. No idea why.

Moving on.

Angelic Monty.

He was his usual laconic, effective self, except he got hurt.

Monty's "friend" Pazza (with whom he's in a huge fight, btw) finally did something useful.

He scored! Finally!

(See? No Monty. Anywhere. So fighting.)

And was frightfully please with himself, as I suppose you'd expect.

No prizes for guessing who else scored.

Since he scores every week, and is the biggest stud on earth.

Pazza approves.

You know who else scored?

Bad. Ass.

This is the goal, you'll have to take my word for it. His butt is pleased, see?

Some other, less cool dudes also played.

RUN AWAY!!!!

Could someone PLEASE tell Donadel to cut his hair?

Hai Pasqual.

Like Monty, Gobbi also got hurt against Siena. V. sad.

This was the usual European team, made even more motley by the injuries to the midfield.

To wit: A Kuzmanovic sighting!

And look, Osvaldo!

And Jorgensen, finally, is healthy.

Ujfi, too, is working again. (Nice face, Rossi.)

And when was the last time we had a picture of Pazienza?

Or Kroldrop? (Stupid Joe Red.)

The Captain, of course, was there, still with the plaster on his chin.

There are hardly any pictures of Mutu, but he was great as usual: Assisted on the goal, and had one incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Speaking of scoring, I'm calling him Bobogol from now on.

You'll have to take my word for it, but he really did score.

See? They love him.

What up, bitches?

(Ignoring the nose-blowing, does his forearm say "My life depends only on me"? I like.)

At Genoa this weekend. Hopefully Monty is healthy, there will be more from Bobogol, and the boys will stay in the top three.
