Rosanero: Winners, at last.

A new bromance is on the way. Watch your back, Hernandez, the Chilean's stealing your boyfriend.
Now that was good. No one makes the mistakes to judge the match poor because of the only goal: Palermo had so many occasion it's pretty absurd they ended up scoring just once, but that doesn't mean they weren't convincing or good, cos they were, luckily for us and, especially, for poor Delio. After a great game in which we've seen glimpses of the old Javi Pastore and we finally understood how powerful Pinilla is as a striker, Palermo are eight in Campionato, just one point behind Roma and Sampdoria. If that's not good, I don't know what "good" means anymore.

Palermo 1 - 0 Genoa
42’ pt M. Pinilla Ferrera

PALERMO: S. Sirigu, M. Cassani, E. Munoz, C. Bovo, F. Balzaretti, A. Nocerino, A. Bacinovic, G. Migliaccio, J. Pastore (43' st M. Maccarone), J. Ilicic (27' st D. Goian), M. Pinilla Ferrera (35' st F. Miccoli).
GENOA: Eduardo, A. Ranocchia, D. Dainelli (19' st Y. Boakye), K. Kaladze, D. Criscito, M. Rossi, F. Zuculini (19' st M. Destro), Rafinha, G. Mesto, L. Toni, G. Rudolf (1' st M. Veloso).

Palermo was really feeling the match. Though it was nothing like a big match, and despite the HORRIBLE rain that kept falling down up to an hour before the beginning of the match, supporters were there to support.

Look, some love for Sirigu! That's because Genoa were still dangerous, when Pinilla wasn't scaring the shit out of them being everywhere at the same time, so he was actually forced to do some saves. Unbelievable!

Cassani was his usual concrete self.

He handled Toni very well. As a matter of fact, Toni was totally nullified and was a big disappointment cos he couldn't find space.

In his (hopefully) last match as Captain, he gave his best. ♥
(Hopefully not for him, obviously, but because it seems Miccoli will be finally fit enough to make it to the XI starters against Milan. Whoo-hoo!)

Munoz was actually good too! *shocked* Way to improve, bb. (O HAI MATTIA.)

Toni = nullified by Munoz too. Maybe Toni's the problem.

Bovo managed to do nothing dramatic and he didn't kill Mattia. Two good things, hurray!

Balza was A BEAST.

Look, I know. I know I'm very biased when it comes to him, but SERIOUSLY. He did SO GOOD.

His was the pass that Javi P received to assist Pinilla, and he was generally unbeatable both in attacking and in defending.

Moving to the midfield, Noce did good too. Yay, bustedflush!

Bacinovic kept being better than his boyfriend Ilicic. He handled well Boakye, which is a pretty messy forward but can also be pretty dangerous too.

(O hai Ilicic in the background.)

Criscito tried to stop him, but he couldn't.

Migliaccio!

Detroyed the pitch.

Delio: Who do you think will pay for that?!

Since we've got no Ilicic photos, a little Goian. He came in for Ilicic himself during second half.

So, Javi P.

It was obvious from the start he was getting better and better.

He was struggling a bit being punched around and having the recently usual difficulties trying to score, ok.

But then.

That happened. And it was awesome.

Balza moved on the left serving Javi P a perfect pass. Backheel, Pinilla, goal. Simple as that.

I started to call Pinilla UFO the first time I saw him play, cos I just couldn't understand what was he up to. Or what was he to start.

Though I still call him UFO, now I know. ♥

He was very very happy.

Celebrated a lot alone, and then...

...thanked his assist-man.

Daw. ♥

Not only he was unstoppable on the goal, though, he was a real pain in the ass for Genoa the whole time.

He tried countless times and hit the pole twice.

Here too.

He came out ten minutes before the end of the match.

Because Barbera stadium had to greet the great come back of its man. ♥
(He didn't to anything wonderful, but he was there, and that's a lot right now.)

The match ended well, and the boys could go celebrating under Curva Nord. ♥

Where Pinilla showed some skin, bless him.

And Balza went crazy, bless him too.
Up next is a very, very tough match against Milan in San Siro. A draw would already be a victory, but you never know what to expect from this team, and if Pastore and Miccoli are fit and Pinilla keeps up the good work everything could happen.

Mods, tags for Munoz, Goian and possibly Destro? I know I keep asking for tags, I'm a pain in the ass. /o\
