For those of you privileged enough to live nearby a newsstand that carries the elusive GQ Italia, just a heads up: The Special One is on this month's cover (June 2010). It's hard to miss since the words THE BOSS are emblazoned right across the spread. I like how Godfather-esque he is here:-

Ah, Special. *sniffle* We will miss your pain-in-the-ass behavior and fancy suits here in Serie A land. (I'm actually getting sort of excited about Rafa, but the man seriously needs to up his sartorial game in the wake of Special, and even Mancio. Hopefully he'll get hisself a contract w/a nice Italian company and wear only their clothes on the touchline.)

And because I know you're waiting for it: LOL PAZZO. :p (Also LOL Gila. God, he's so awkward I really feel sorry for him, just cos I know I'd be just the same. Poor man.)

PS/ BRB, teaching Soviet how to sing the Fratelli anthem. ROFL I was getting my hair did when this match was on, so I didn't see any of it-- but I watched the anthem on Corriere and was laughing my head off at Crispin turning his head towards Soviet when he insulted Rome in the song. Well, I've got a good RL friend who's a HUUUUUGE Real fan and really fired up about Special, so my guess is that with him + Karim + Special, I'll probably pay more attention to Real than I ever have before. Madridista might be a bit strong, though. *g* (And plz, like I ever support Barca for Zlatan. :p It seems like he might stay, if his agent shuts up for a while? Gotta wonder where/when the hell he'll play, though, right? What with that David arriving and Bojan on fire and Messi being Messi.) lol They gave Sini a scarf @ his presentation, so he better wear it! I'm sort of irrationally optimistic about him -- he struggled in his first gig in charge (Bologna), but Catania really played good football after he took over last season. He's advancing quickly, but hopefully he's learning and will be able to at least hold his own at Fiorentina. At the very least, he'll change the mentality -- they were such soft babies (IMO) for the second half of last season, and you know no team Sinisa coaches is going to have that profile ( ... )

I'm still LOL'ing at the ~scandal~ that isn't. I love Lippi's reaction; he was all like "OH PUH-LEAZE."

"Roma" was really in the lyric, but instead of continuing the actual line, he replaced it with "ladrona" suffixing Roma. "Roma ladrona" is supposedly a colloquial insult towards the government, mainly-- which made sense in the context of the government's decision to rescind handing out bonuses to La Nazionale after playing the WC. Bottomline- I think Soviet was just bitter he's not gonna get extra cash from his NT duties (coz you know, he'd probably be spending his summer at the Kremlin, posing in D&G briefs, rather than playing in SA). Hey, I ain't mad- it was funny. I'm just pissed the only Roman in the team was on the bench. He probs. smacked Soviet upside for that <333 Did you see how Gila and Crispin were lol'ing at SK? LMFAO and SK's like, "What, I didn't say anything." &hearts

Ahhh, ok, thank you. So it's an anti-government thing? Now I'm laughing even more at the asshats who wanted him kicked out of camp. It's not all about you people, you know! (ROFFLES Yeah, we all know the NT thing is is just for the cash.) His reaction to their reaction was priceless, like "It's cool, it's cool. Quit calling attention to me!" SK realized he mighta fucked up a li'l bit, y/y?
