We're in fourth place now, tied with Parma, who we beat at home 2-nil last Sunday. Really though the only thing that matters is that, at the moment, we're in the final CL spot. Thank you to last Sunday's scorers, Nico and Matteo!
"Champions League, here we come!"
Nope, not getting ahead of ourselves at all. ;P
Mid-week, Roma sent their squad to an away EL match vs. CSKA Sofia WITHOUT the likes of Vucinic, Totti and Menez. And I was like, "Who the hell is going to score?!"
Well, homegrown Romano, Alessio Cerci, did. TWICE. (Hence Zorro McAggro's hugging spree)
Roma ended up winning the match 3-nil, with another goal from a Roma Primavera youth product, Scardina (who is
torstai's future husband).
^That's Cerci though. Romans love mackin' on each other. Eat your heart out, Albertino. ;p
Speaking of Romans, here are the Captains pre-match on Sunday versus Parma:
Hold on to your purses, they gonna mug your ass.
Daniele to Fra: Your beanie makes your head look fat, heehee!
Fra: Hmph.
Pre-match tai-chi, y'all
See that dirty play right there by Paci? Serves him right, bitch got a red card (OMG DDR went aggro♥)
Ok here are the goals: the first one was Nico's-
AGGROJOY!
Scoring gives you levitation powers:
Here comes the koala:
The celebration was so beautiful, the ball boy on the sideline was moved to tears:
Everybody loves Nico
Nico: Guys, he's biting my jugular. Not cool.
That's enough pecking, Pek.
Aww, Nico's clenched fist
Center-back lovin'
And yes, Miss Thang Philippe Mexes is still out injured. Damn him, I miss his (un)fashionable presence on the pitch.
Bed head
Here's the other goal-scorer, Matteo Brighi, on for the suspended Simone Perrotta
HE'S REALLY AMPED, OK!??!?!
FISTS!
Grampa Cassetti finally found his tub of hairgel, yay!
Marcolino♥
You know you've really won an important match when Juan starts showing real emotion:
Speaking of emotional, here's ex-vice captain, Papa Panooch greeting Curva Sud:
And hugging his ex-teammates:
I get that it was cold, but damn, we could've done WITHOUT the undershirt.
Fra was subbed out of the match to be replaced by Okaka, who also had to come off due to injury. Baptista finally made his comeback then, and attempted a nice screamer that was unfortunately parried away. Good try though. But damn, Okaka was preferred to La Bestia? OIC.
Anyway, regarding Fra, he got his scans back and the medics say it's just a bruise. Ain't no biggie, Fra will be back in action in the very next fixture.
Fourth place, bitches. We're in it. (LOL watch us slide to sixth next year post-hiatus)
The current standings: the perfect gift to all Romanisti! Enjoy your holidays, y'all!
It's panettone time!♥
