I've actually got mixed feelings about Carlotto leaving. He really didn't seem to have the patience/ability to bring along young players. When Boriello, Gila and Yoann all go off to other teams and play fantastically, it seems to me like there's a systemic problem. Not that I think Leonardo can fix it. He's no Special One, after all. (Although they're both pretty.)
I'd never even really thought about that, esp not with Gila in the mix. Though one could argue the level is lower in France, I can certainly see how the pattern could be alarming -- do you think anything will change under Leonardo? I mean, will he get to make any decisions about which players come back from loan, which stay out, etc? Someone Milan around here told me Guidolin said Alberto's staying at Parma for another season, is that for sure?
And Special is definitely talking a good game right about bringing several more kids through next season, to add to Mario and Santon -- we'll see if that actually happens.
1) Chiellini doesn't break Il Capitano again before the tourney begins.
2) Monty starts.
3) Lippi isn't stoopid enough to keep playing Looca when he's flat.
4) Rino goes Mad Dog on the opposition.
5) Canna grows his damned hair back!
