Omgs, Mario!! *flails* ♥

Consigli, stay fierce, bb.

I want Seba and Osvi to not be pulling stupid antics. Srsly. (Oooh, can you imagine when we have Mario/Seba/Beppe in front? *melts* Boys better learn how to work together, fast. I want it. Hopefully when Rossi is back, he'll balance the three out. *nods*)

Yes, Consigli, stays fierce! is that Fiorillo behind your back? LOL

I think we won't see the holy trinity known as Mario/Seba/Beppe anytime soon cuz Beppe will be promoted to senior team. So Mario & elf-ling need to sort their shit out, hopefully together :(

Didn't Cassano play for the U21 even after receiving senior caps? (until he pissed off Gentile, that is...)

I'm pretty sure we shall see the Holy Trinity in action at Euro 2009.

*WAIT* This just occurred to me... is Euro 2009 played in the same time period as the Confederations Cup? Because I was hoping to see some little boys among the big boys in the latter :/

I don't remember cassano case. I didn't follow U-21 that much back then :\

*goes check* seems like they don't have the exact date yet for U-20 *headscratches* but Euro U-21 will be right after regular season (late May), while the U-20 will be in late June, based on 2007 schedule. So it's possible that a player can feature in these 2 tourneys tho I doubt anyone in the right mind want to :P

I bet Mario will be playing for U-21 cuz Casiraghi needs to do well to save his ass *g*

Are we talking about the same Confederations Cup? You know, where the champions of each FIFA region (i.e. Spain from UEFA) + World Champions(us) duke it out? It's a senior level tournament.

*headwalls* it's kinda late and i'm caffeine deprived, y'know *g*

that will be in mid june so it will be almost impossible to feature in both tourneys :| I'd think Lippi will take Balotelli if he keeps performing. Because we need a big striker like him badly. Maybe a baby fullback. Giovinco will be a stretch but if he pulls it off at Juve, that's probable too :\

So basically we have to choose between the U21 Euro (which is pretty much the only youth level at which Italians are mature enough to compete with the rest of Europe) and the Confederations Cup? *wails uncontrollably*

Hopefully Russotto steps it up for the Azzurrini so that Rossi can go to the Confederations Cup. I hate to say it, but Giovinco needs to get out of Juve. He isn't some 18 year old unknown quantity --- he's nearly 22 years old and needs to play at a consistently high level with a club that will play him consistently.

I heard a lot about Russotto but whenever I saw him playing for Azzurrini, i never quite impressed (but trying to outplay beppe rossi and in-form giovinco is quite a feat TBH) is he good?

we'll see how much he would get a chance this term with Juve. I believe they intend to use him as Nedved replacement. fanboys have a good case against that cuz Giovinco can't defend, especially with feck-up LBs like Molinaro & PDC, looks like a recipe for disaster there. *sighs* but i don't want him to go join EPL circus either!! *tears out hair*

Russotto IMO has better technique than either Rossi or Giovinco, although this doesn't necessarily make him a better player. He's a very mobile fantasista with good vision of the field who creates chances for himself and others very unselfishly (I'm looking at YOU, Giovinco). Some of the things he can do with the ball are simply sublime and according to my father remind him of older days when players could be bothered to do backheels and conventional dribbling ( ... )

The problem is i never seen Russotto playing for Treviso. I'll keep track of him in Napoli then :D

I heard story about Lazio fucking Russotto up before. and you gotta admire his gut to stand up for himself like that. I may sound indifference on him but I actually want him to do well. so he can get back to those fucktards at Lazio later that he can rise above their stupidity.

(ok...gotta go back to work. will continue my ranting in the evening :D)

I agree that PDC has a potential but if he has any defending sense in him, i hope it shows within this season or next. I hope he shines there, just like i hope all the babies to prevail and at least become decent serie A players *puts on azzurrini motherhen badge*

i agree that Giovinco is kinda late in terms of development. but I guess players peak at different times. Messi tore up Barca at 18 or sth, while Luca Toni had a breakthru year when he's approaching 30. I can't remember about Zola but it seems he wasn't given a chance until mid 20s either. But i agree that this season will be crucial for Giovinco. It will either send him to stardom or a mid table team. I won't hide that I'll be rooting for him like no tomorrow. but first, he gotta wake the hell up and start passing the ball to Balotelli tomorrow! >=O

No, no you're right in that PDC has to start learning RIGHT NOW if he ever wants to be anything more than a one-trick pony. I'm just more hopeful about him than most because a country that struggles to produce a quality winger every decade, it's absolutely essential that our fullbacks are capable of attacking efficiently ( ... )

Haha, watch out! I do hope Consigli gets more awesome, because I love him and I'd like to see more of him, but wouldn't be surprised if Fiorillo appears soon, having heard such a plethora of good things about him (maybe he will bring Poli with him, that would help).

He might make a few more appearances with the babies though. Or in the future when they're all together, slaying. *sighs wistfully*

Consigli is solid but he lacks the wow factor that Fiorillo has aka OMFG-how-you-save-that kinda thing.

Poli is now in Serie B, same team with with Android. Playing regularly would help his development a lot, i'm sure ;)

we'll see ;) now I started to worry about Giovinco. let's hope the boy wakes up soon *prays like woah*

Yes, this is what I've heard. I really like Consigli though, so hopefully he becomes more amazing, or at least has a few more years before being replaced. *sighs*

Hee, let's hope so. :)

Mhmm, let's. Gah, even without Rossi, the two of them will be freaking insane.
