Fangirls' Guide to the Euros: Addendum

An addendum to the Fangirls' Guide to the Euros. I have long held that this squad is not a patch on the one over whom my heart broke in July 2000 - but have always wondered if that is nostalgia talking. So (with a little nagging encouragement from baki_neko and ciacona) I have compiled a comparison guide to the Euro 2000 squad. Again, I have used the official squad photos (all taken on May 29 2000, for trivia fans amongst you) - but, unfortunately, the only ones I could find were Getty ones, and so are watermarked. Sorry.

The exact same rules apply, in the interests of fairness - and may the best team win!

102 out of a possible 144 points = 70%. This compares to the current squad's score of 92, or 63%. For srs, I don't think any squad will ever be able to match this one here. We went through so much together, me, them and my bump, that they can never be usurped. (It's nice to know the notalgia hadn't warped my vision, though.)

Also, you will remember that Italy played Romania in the Quarters that tournament. And, while scouting for photos, I found these. Which I thought deserved posting as I am still trying to butter Martha up after my greedy dreaming the other night in recognition of today's meeting.
