Does this mean that ALL the fanfic will be moving there? So that I can view this comm at work again? I would love that.
I might even be inspired to add something new to my woefully sporadic body of work.
(Also, I would love to ask you questions re how this whole S2 thing works. Like you, I can be pedantic and I would like to understand what I'm doing b4 wandering in...)
*glomps you* We clearly need another playground. Footieslash is becoming... *wrinkles up mouth*
Two suggestions: 1)You expand the definitions to include national team players playing abroad. That will help guys like Canna and Toni and seems legit.
2)You prohibit fics about sexual, criminal acts against minors. That was the really big excuse 6 Apart used to close down comms last May. It was difficult enough arguing that Harry Potter was only a fictional character so fics about him having sex at 15 were merely fictional. To have to make that jump for real people and defend it is going to be tough and is it a position you want to find yourself in? Min's comment on my LJ was well taken.
I might... I have had this idea floating about for a bit. But I'm terrible about actually writing things down. Perhaps I'll drag out one of my old fics and see if anyone is even interested.
Question? Is it OK to lock posts to the community?
(I will - probably tonight or tomorrow. I've got 7 people for Mother's Day dinner tonight.)
*grins* And that was my other reason for coming up with it!
Your suggestions are both very valid, thank you especially since Zac's signed for Wolfsburg :(. Particularly the second one. Like I mentioned to you before, I don't do chan. And we definitely don't want to be getting ToSed for that sort of thing. Will amend posting guidelines post haste.
Yes, you are fine to lock posts to the community. What I don't want is linked posts that are locked, because that's just a pain in the arse.
Oh, my. Do my eyes deceive me, or is this actually a fic comm that I can have on my flist without going blind several times a day? Which is to say: you guys rock for setting this up!
[I would attempt to write something for it right away, but the weather's too dreadful for that sort of thing.]
Sofie, thank you - that's exactly what I hoped it would be. (I'm just bkicking myself now that I sat on the idea for so long before I had the balls to bring it up with the other mods!)
