4. *shudders at the future reality of Deki with a combover* Oh dear god, the poor Serb. 4a. (See, I think he knows he sucks and it's just killing him -- he probably knows himself and the game well enough to know how awful he's been, but wants to keep trying because he figures AT SOME POINT he'll start to get it again. *sniff* Well, he had Deki on wing, so I guess the obvious alternatives are Solari and Figo. There's no way either would be worse -- even if he doesn't want to play Figo b/c he's being a dick, why he wouldn't give Santi a shot is beyond me. 8. I think it's new the last few years, but I'm not 100% sure. I read somewhere that it was put in place to keep people from wearing tshirts with political statements on them and showing them, but I have no idea if that true. (And if it is, wtf? You don't get carded for just pulling the front back over your head, do you? GIANT loophole, if you're trying to send a message. Or, you know, show your baby.) The refs had to enforce it, I guess -- isn't it a UEFA thing? 11. I think it depends which Inter shows up, if Rivas is fit and playing, and how things go in Holland on Thursday -- Prandelli rested the entire back line as well as Kuzi yesterday, so he's trying to save them, but they're going to be tired as hell. All that said, I think Fiorentina could win it, esp if Inter do that whole not-giving-a-fuck thing. What happened when Roma played Udine last time?
4a. There was that one time where Santi was given a start, right [vs. Genoa]? How was he then? Better than how Deki's playing now? 8. (it seems no one's been smart enough to test the loophole and pull the front over their heads-- maybe they know they're going to get booked for it, too anyway, so they just go the whole nine, since it's going to be a booking regardless of whether they strip all the way or half-ass it? ) 11. Roma beat Udinese 2-1, but that was at home. The first goal was off a Juan header, and the second was off Taddei's two-strike shot [he missed the first time LOLOL]. Then again the boys will be fatigued, too, after playing United on Wednesday, so... *sighs* Inter will have the upper hand, what with a tired Fiorentina, home turf advantage, and a likewise fatigued Roma away to Udinese.
4a. I can't really remember, it was so damn long agin -- my guess is that Deki's potential upside is higher, but Santi is nice and quiet and steady, which seems preferable to Deki right now. 11. Please. Inter never have the upper hand, esp since Ivan Ramiro got hurt. (I've decided the best case scenario is Inter and Roma either both winning or both losing, cos if Inter win and Roma lose, Udine catch Fiorentina, which is bad. And obviously Inter losing and Roma willing would be very bad.)
