And The Sweden Sports Personality Of The Year Award goes to...
Internazionale and Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimović has been announced as the first footballer to win the Swedish Sports Personality of the Year award. Ibra received 31 percent of the vote from a shortlist of ten, as voted by the pubic. This adds to the Inter wizard's 2007 Guldbollen trophy, awarded to the Swedish footballer of the year.
The ex-Juventus man's closest competition was athlete Susanna Kallur, but his Scudetto win with Inter, as well as his invaluable role in Sweden's qualification for the 2008 European Championships in Austria and Switzerland put the 26-year-old in the clear for the award.

"I wish to thank everyone who voted for me," he said. "I am surprised and honoured, and because this prize is decided by the Swedish people, it even tops winning the Guldbollen."
The Swedish national team of 1994 and IFK Göteborg's 1982 UEFA Cup-winning side also received the award, but Ibrahimović is the first footballer to win the award as an individual.
