Okay, I didn't pre-order Harry Potter, but with all the HBP posts on my flist, I'd best get a copy, I feel. (I've mostly gone spoiler-free, except for one bad click that I'm DEARLY regretting. Christ, it's just impossible to "sip" at spoilers.) Instead of reading HPB, I've been inhaling all sorts of self-help books and inwardly freaking at my complete maladjusted-ness. You know, same old same old.
So, whaddya think would be the best method to get a copy of HBP, at this point? Is there any point in going to a brick-and-mortar bookstore and expecting to find one? Should I just Amazon.com it and wait however long it takes? Or have retailers anticipated the need accurately, and I actually stand a chance of finding one at Barnes and Noble when I go?
These are the questions that plague me at 1:00 am on a Sunday.
Oh, I coined a phrase the other day - probably not the first one to do so, but I still liked it. At an intersection where the light had just turned green, I thought I was the ballsiest driver, but it turned out someone else was willing to be ruder than me and hence, got to go first.
So I dubbed the person, "Assholier than thou."
I'm neurotic, but clever.
ETA: Got my copy, ($16) over at Ralph's where I barely saw that they had any because there were like TWO left. But I got it.
