A poll in your pocket
I got an idea for a poll that interested me. It might be considered an investigation into the "internet geeks never get laid" stereotype.
I realized that I spend quite a lot of time reading about sex (in NC-17 fic), talking about sex (discussing said fic), thinking about sex (dreaming up said fic), etc., etc.
But how much time do I spend actually engaging in sex? In real life?
Lately, not at all.
Now, this is not to say that I'm completely all fic and no action - I'm proud to say I've been pretty damned slutty at various times in my life. I've had some, uh, adventures - actually tried things instead of just wondering. But in the last few years, I've sort of reassessed why I did those things, hit the wall on some of it (some of it was a little "S6 Buffy", if you get my drift) and just generally Toned Things Way Down, for a bit. I don't plan for this phase of my life to last forever, but it is what it is for now.
But my real question is: what's it like for YOU?
So, if you'll pardon my prurient choice of titles, I would very much like to know: What's your ratio of ficcing to fucking? How does your real life correspond with the insatiable fic slut inside you? Please answer honestly - nobody'll know who answered what anyway. (Edit: Oops! Turns out it is possible to see who answered what, at least for me. Oh well - answer honestly anyway. You can only be laughed at virtually! [g]) And if you can't find an answer that suits you, I would welcome a comment explaining your unique point of view.
