Thanks everyone for your nice comments about The Friends List Gallery. I'm still taking pictorial contributions, so if you want to be featured, just send me some pixelage! And I'll let you know when the darn thing finally works in Internet Explorer--I've got an email in to the guy who created the gallery script.
Now, onto some other business: my friend Kennedy and I are planning to try a video podcast. We're going to take "As Seen On TV!" products that amuse us and run them through the same paces they go through on their commercials (plus whatever else strikes us funny), to see if they really work. For instance, Kennedy wants to test Urine Gone so he can pee on things. And as soon as we find a wall it's okay to mess up we'd like to test those Hercules Hooks. It claims they hold objects up to 150 lbs, so for the last test we'll hang...Kennedy.
Anyway, I'll be tossing up a Blogger site with links to the videos (which we'll put on YouTube), and I'm trying to come up with a clever name for it that'll stick in people's heads. I wanted to see if anybody had any funny ideas. Ideally, I'd want to use a variation on one of the usual infomercial lines, with a twist that says we're going to mess with the topic. (But if there's a better, non-catch-phrase idea out there, that's fine too.) "As Seen On TV!" is pretty much spoken for, but here are some I remembered:
